Mohamed Salah OUT of Burnley clash and sidelined for at least two weeks

Mohamed Salah is out of Liverpool’s New Year’s Day clash with Burnley and is in a race against time to be fit to face Manchester City in two weeks, according to reports.

Th Egyptian, who has been in utterly sensational form since moving to Anfield from Roma in the summer, suffered a knee injury in the Reds’ come-from-behind win over Leicester and was missing from training in the days that followed.

Jurgen Klopp was concerned after the match, saying: ‘I don’t know in this moment exactly what it is but he was limping. That’s never a good sign.’

And now the Daily Mirror report that Salah will be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks and will miss Monday’s trip to Burnley in the Premier League.

He is also expected to miss the massive FA Cup clash against Merseyside rivals Everton which takes place just a few days later, on Friday evening.
